Included with every visit
Most damage to old markers is done by people trying to help. Household bleach, acidic cleaners and pressure washers strip the surface of marble and limestone and leave stone that weathers faster every year.
We use water, soft brushes and cleaners chosen for the stone in front of us, and we work gradually. A badly weathered nineteenth-century marker may take two or three visits to come back. That is the right pace, and we will tell you if a stone should be left alone entirely.
